Part 1 is a pre- judgement checklist based on the 5 key outcomes of Every Child Matters for children to be healthy, assuage safe, enjoy and achieve, make a positive contribution and achieve economical well-being. The checklist will help to find out if a child is making the expected progress and to understand if he or she has any unmet needs in any area.Part 2 is the common assessment process. This gathers all the information needed to give an accurate picture of the childs needs and strengths, and Part 3 is a standard form to give a consistent way of recording the discussion and outcomes and make it easier to share information. The CAF covers all needs, not just the needs that one service is roughly interested in. It is intended to be used by teachers and education professionals, health p rofessionals and social work professionals so that they bottom of the inning work together much easily and effectively.Information will follow the child and build up a picture of an individual childs needs over time and, where permission is given, information about a child can be shared.
